With so much beauty surrounding us, we can't help but come up with new ways for you to xperience our winter wonderland. Skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts have long delighted in the beauty of the Green Mountains with spectacular views at every turn. That's what inspired our walking/snowshoeing tours.
Not going to ski or ride today? Join our skilled guides and discover the wonder of winter here in the heart of the Green Mountains. No special skills required... just the desire to experience nature, the outdoors and get some exercise. Learn winter weather walking techniques and enjoy a new way of maintaining fitness in winter.
Joins us daily! We'll start our morning at 10:00 am in the Cortina Inn Lobby. Dress for the outdoors and for light to moderate outdoor exercise. For use during the program, we will provide Micro Spikes to wear over your snow boots for improved traction in winter, and trekking poles. If winter, however, bestows the blessing of a blanketed winter wonderland, don't worry, we have you covered and
will provide you with tubs snowshoes.
Our Winter Tour is best suited for individuals of age 8 and up.

This Group Snowshoe Tours runs every Wednesday & Saturday from 10:00 AM to Noon. Pricing $35.00 per person.

Private Hikes & Tours
Similar to our Group Tours but this is a Private or Semi Private Tour, this allow us to explore deeper and farther into the heart of the Green Mountain Range. Because of the nature of this tour, we can tailor this to the needs of the individuals such as starts of 5:00 AM and leaving with headlamps or staying late in the evening to enjoy a Vermont winter sunset.
Pricing $53.00 per person, this includes Micro Spikes, Tubbs Snowshoes, Trekking Poles & Headlamp if needed.
Must be booked 24 hours before departure. 1 hour non refundable deposit required.
Please note that the difficulty level of the walk can vary depending on snow and weather conditions. Please dress according to weather. As we try to make every effort to accommodate our guests if the guided decides the weather is too dangerous he has the option for safety to cut the trek short.
Killington Resort: It is the largest alpine ski resort in the eastern US with hundreds of trails with great variety, a great selections of amenities including shopping and dining, and the most ski days (longest ski season) available in the east. Killington is known for its diversity of terrain and grooming expertise, providing alpine skiers and riders of all ability levels a choice of wide-open groomed cruisers, narrow classic New England runs, moguls, steeps and glade skiing areas and multiple terrain features for snowboarders and free skiers. If you are thinking about getting outside and looking to explore the area by foot, either you go by yourself or buying a snowshoe tour, you will always have a wonderful experience, getting closer to nature, looking at a frozen lake or falls, enjoying the winter flowers and the animals going out from their refuge to find something to eat, it is just indescribable, something you need to experience yourself.

Cross Country Ski:
Mt. Meadows Cross Country Ski: Located in Route 4, it has 60 kilometers of trails. All centered around beautiful Kent Pond. They meander through old growth, evergreen forests, open fields, orchards, and backcountry woods. They also have more snow making capacity than any other cross country ski resort in Vermont.
