Highlights & Lowlights
-
+Location between Pico and Killington is genuinely useful - 2 ski mountains, neither of them slope-side prices, both close enough that you dont feel like youre making a compromise every morning.
-
+Grounds are beautiful, mature trees, real space, that Vermont inn feeling that newer builds spend years and serious money trying to fake and never quite get there.
-
+Staff actually ski and hike themselves - recommendations come from last weekend not a laminated card at the desk!
-
+Rooms are cozy and comfortable, mountain inn character that suits the setting without trying too hard about it.
-
+On-site dining after a full day on the slopes is more valuable than it sounds - you dont realize how much until youre too exhausted to find your car keys let alone drive somewhere.
-
+Price is reasonable for this part of Vermont, comparable mountain properties charge noticeably more for the same or less.
-
+Hot tub after a cold day outside is not optional. Its basically medical.
-
-Property is showing some age here and there - the charm is real but a few updates wouldnt hurt, some corners of the building feel like they havent changed since the 90s.
-
-Wifi coverage is uneven, some rooms fine, others... not so much.
-
-Car is non-negotiable for everything outside the property. Not a surprise but worth actually planning for before you arrive.
